Dr Bindu is Professor and Head of the Department Electronics & Communication Engineering at Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mysore. Dr Bindu holds a PhD in Electronics (Mysore University), Masters in Industrial Electronics (with Honors) and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (with Distinction).
Dr Bindu has 22 years of teaching experience and is involved in Guiding research scholars and teaching UG and PG students, and her major area of research include Pattern Recognition, Embedded Systems, Computational Intelligence applications in Robotics and is currently working in the area of MEMS.
Dr Bindu has published over 85 Scopus Indexed and peer reviewed research publications, including 30 International Journals, 40 International conference papers and 15 National Conference papers. Dr Bindu also has edited three text books on Basic Electronics and Logic Design authored by Dr. Sudhakar Samuel.

Recently Dr Bindu was elected as the Fellow of Institution of Engineers [FIE].

Dr. Kumudhini Ravindra is a corporate strategy consultant and trainer. She is a Strategic Innovation Consultant and Coach with Innomantra Consulting. She has about eighteen years of a multi-disciplinary experience. In her career, she has held senior roles as Assistant Professor, Business Strategy Consultant, Senior Business Analyst and Systems Engineer for hi-tech firms like Tata Infotech, Daimler Chrysler India, PRDC along with several other start-ups. She has a strong quantitative modelling and system simulation background along with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) experience. She has a PhD in Clean Energy Modelling and Management from IISc, Bangalore. She holds an MBA from the Department of Management Studies, IISc and a BE (Electrical & Electronics) from UVCE, Bangalore University, and was an exchange student at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2010. She has published and presented several research papers.
It’s radar signal processing and radar system design. Over the years when I started working for pulse compression cum side love reduction filter design for radar signal processing in order to reduce the hardware resources of FPGA my area of interest has grown to intelligence and decision making algorithms in multifunction radars in order to reduce various resources of radar like energy and time. I had worked for radar target classifier where I had used Doppler signature of target to be used by HMM based classifier for target classification. In HMM based classifier I used segmental K mean algorithm to cluster the vectors in each state into set of clusters. Which I used further for reduction of hardware of FIR filters and also to reduce hardware in DBF based multi beam radars where AGRs can be reduced. Presently AI algorithm and it’s application in radars for performance enhancement cum resource management are keeping my interest alive.
Dr Manjula R received B.E and M.Tech both from, Belgavi, Karnataka. She has a
PhD from the department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering,
IIT Kharagpur. Currently she is serving as professor in the department of ECE at
Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), Ballari. She a Senior
Member of IEEE, and the founding SPOC for both IEEE Student Branch and WiE
affinity group at BITM. She is also serving as a branch counsellor. Her research
interests include security, privacy and data aggregation in wireless sensor networks.
She has few publications in various national and international conferences and
journals, and serves as a reviewer for various international journals. Prof. Manjula is
also a recipient of two best paper awards, CCNA certified associate, and recipient of
the Cambridge Certificate in “Teaching and Learning,” through Wipro’s Mission10X
Dr. Pushpa C N has completed Bachelor of Engineering in
Computer Science and Engineering from Bangalore
University, Master of Technology in VLSI Design and
Embedded Systems from Visvesvaraya Technological
University and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering
from Bangalore University. Presently she is working as
Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at
University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore. She has 18 years
of teaching experience. She has presented and published 25 research papers in
the International Conferences and Journals. Her research interest includes Web
mining, Personalized Web Search, Semantic Web and Data Analytics
Dr. Pushpa Mala S has completed her Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering for her work on security
for medical images from Jain University, Bangalore. She has completed her Masters(M.Tech) in
VLSI Design and Embedded and Systems. Her research interests include Image Processing, Signal
Processing and Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits designing and modelling. Her projects have
been funded by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology. She has presented 3
papers in national conferences, 10 papers in international conferences, and published 15 papers
in various indexed international journals. She has also authored a book “Medical Image
Watermarking- with details from Concepts to Application”.
Presently, she is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University. She is the branch counsellor for the
IEEE student branch at DSU.
Ms. Sandhya R J has completed her graduation (B.E.) in Electrical and
Electronics Engineering in 1999 and Master of Engineering with specialization

USHA DESAI is an Associate Professor at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, Udupi.
Her research work focuses on Biomedical Signal Processing, Machine Learning and
Multirate Systems. In 2017, she received the DST International Travel Grant for Paper
presentation at IEEE EMBS International Annual Conference held at South Korea. She
served as Session Chair in reputed IEEE International Conference ICCSDET 2018 at
SAINTGITS College of Engineering, Kottayam, Kerala. Also, she has presented papers in
many reputed conferences and published more than 20 journals. She is an active member of
IEEE from 2014 onwards.
Usha Desai earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication, M.Tech. in
Digital Electronics and Communication from VTU, Belgavi. She was awarded Doctorate for
her thesis entitled Development of Decision Support System for Cardiac Health Diagnosis
using Electrocardiogram from the REVA University, Bengaluru.
Dr Vijayalakshmi is currently working as an Associate Professor in the department of Medical
Electronics, BMSCE, Bangalore. Her PG Degree is in Bio-Medical Instrumentation from SJCE,
Mysore. She holds a PhD from VMU, Salem. Her PhD thesis title was “Independent Component
Analysis of EEG signals ”. She has 15 publications to her credit in international and national journals
and conferences. She has undertaken collaborative projects with National & International
Institutions/Hospitals: Raman Research Institute, NIMHANS, Research Centre of Art of Living “Veda
vignan Maha vidya peeta”, Research centre “ Anveshana ” of SVYASA, Gigni, Bangalore. She has
executed two funded projects. She is the co – investigator for two funded projects from DST and
VGST. Her Research Interests are: Biomedical Signal Processing and Biomedical Image Processing.
