Supriya Kamthania is an IT-professional with 10+ years of experience (encompassing 2 years as Lectureship and 8+ years as IT professional), passion to learn new technologies and fortunate enough to work in domains such as healthcare, servers/storage and application/firmware security.

 

Supriya Kamthania holds the Masters of Technology degree (2007-2009) from Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University in Computer Science and Technology with specialization in Software Engineering and secured University Gold Medal for the academic performances. During Master’s degree course and lectureship days she had multiple opportunities to present and publish 2 journal papers and 9 International/National conference papers in renowned journal and conferences. Most of my research work has been focused around emerging technologies like neural networks and intrusion detection.

She pursued Post Graduate Diploma (2011) from Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Embedded Systems Design (5 months full time course) and completed the research work on ZigBee networks under C-DAC R&D. She was one of the four students who got an opportunity to do project with C-DAC R&D out of the 150 students enrolled for the course. From C-DAC she got placed in Siemens Technology and Services (2011-2014). At Siemens she was the part of Molecular Imaging Lab and worked on multiple innovative project ideas related to healthcare, intrusion detection, neural networks and medical imaging. As a lead engineer she submitted multiple invention disclosures. All the invention disclosures qualified different levels of interest to the company, some went for archiving and business improvement ideas, one got published and one of them is a patent filling application. She is a technology enthusiast and participated and presented new ideas in various technical forums within the organization and was awarded “Special Recognition towards Innovations”.

In 2014 She joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise R&D India Software Operations and got introduced to a whole new world of servers, storage, firmware, enterprise product security and analytics. Over the last six years she got multiple research opportunities to work in the field of Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Algorithm Development and Automation of Enterprise products. With the advent of IoT and Cloud, security has been the focus areas due to ever increasing threat landscape. To understand more about the threat landscape, She had pursued following certifications focused on security, specifically penetration testing like Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Cyber Security Professional.

Recently few of the contributions in the area of container security analytics been selected to be presented at “IEEE WIECON 2019” held in November 14 and 15 (2019). She also participated and presented the work in the area of “Enterprise Penetration Testing Framework” at “HPE Cyber Security Summit”, Anaheim, USA (September 2019), the research work in the area of “Edge Security” at IEEE CONECCT 2018 and the research work in the area of “Embedded Systems Security” namely “Secure Mission Critical System Design for Open Systems” at RIC 2017 at IIT Madras
