Dr. Vijaya Margaret is an Active IEEE Member in the IEEE Region R10 -Asia and Pacific, Bangalore Section and an active IEEE Young Professionals for the past three years, IEEE WIE member and IEEE PES member for past two years.
Currently she serves as Faculty In-charge of IEEE Student Branch-2019 and IEEE PES Branch-2019, Faculty of Engineering, CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
Dr. Vijaya Margaret is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore.
She has completed Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering
from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, Master degree in “Computer Applications in Industrial Drives” from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and Bachelor of Engineering degree in ” Electrical & Electronics Engineering” from UVCE, Bangalore.
She has 9 years of teaching experience at Faculty of Engineering, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore and 3 teaching experience in PES SCHOOL of Engineering, Bangalore.
Her research interests include Smart Grid, Power Quality and Demand Side Management.
She has published 5 papers Scopus Indexed Journals which includes Journal of Electrical Engineering and Springer Lecture Series, and has also published 9 papers in National & International conferences (IEEE – TENCON 2015).
She was the Board of Studies (BOS) In-charge (UG and PG) in EEE Department, CHRIST for years 2012 -2017 (5 years) and PG BOS In-charge for 2019.
She is also the Department CSA Coordinator and HE (Holistic Education) Coordinator.
